Israel really is remarkably safe. Often on trips people hear about news in Israel from friends and family at home and say, “We haven’t heard about any of that.” We never go to places that the Israeli government doesn’t want us to go. And we always follow the advice to the US State Dept. If they say don’t go, we don’t go.

Bookman Tours relies on relationships in Israel that we’ve had for decades. Because of that, we don’t pay for hotels, the bus driver, etc. until right before we leave. Therefore, we are able to refund all of your money if we aren’t able to travel.

We try to keep most trips under 45-50 people so we can all fit on one bus.

Our tours cost $4,600. This price includes hotel accommodations, tour bus transportation in Israel, all breakfasts and dinners, and entrance fees to the national parks. This price is based on double room occupancy and does not include airfare.

Of course, single rooms are available for an additional cost.

The trips are more demanding than most - both physically and instructionally. Travelers should know that these trips are not relaxed or relaxing vacations; they are concentrated and deliberate study experiences which will make significant demands of the students. We also have a lot of fun!

No, our trips are offered on a land-only basis. Travelers are responsible to reserve and pay for their air flights on their own. For each trip an arrival date is announced and travelers are responsible to be at the designated hotel in Athens by that date. Of course, we'll be happy to answer any questions or give any guidance you might need.
